Harpersfield Covered Bridge carries a road over the Grand River in Harpersfield Township, Ohio, south of Geneva. A double-span Howe truss, it is 228 feet long, making it the third longest covered bridge in Ohio, and it remains one of Ashtabula County’s drivable covered bridges. Built in either 1868 or 1873, it was altered after a 1913 flood washed away land at the north end and led to the addition of a steel span. Rerouting State Route 534 in 1962 reduced through traffic. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, the bridge has since been renovated and now also anchors a park setting.
