Science & Tech
Griesemer's Mill Bridge is a historic covered bridge in Oley Township, Pennsylvania, that spans Manatawny Creek. Built in 1832, it is a 124-foot wooden Burr Truss bridge with a gable roof and stone abutments. It is one of only five covered bridges still remaining in Berks County, representing a rare survival of a bridge type that was once common in the United States. Its significance and preservation were formally recognized in 1981, when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
