Pleasantville Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge in Manatawny, Pennsylvania, at Oley Township, spanning Manatawny Creek. One of only five surviving covered bridges in Berks County, it is notable both for its rarity and for its Burr Truss construction, a common 19th-century American design that combined an arch with a truss for greater strength. The 126-foot bridge was built in two stages between 1852 and 1856 because wood was scarce after the Great Flood of 1850. In 1981, it was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places as an important part of Pennsylvania’s transportation and building history.
