Bethania Lutheran Church stood on this site from 1906 to 1928 and is now part of First Lutheran of Colton. Its charter members were Mikkel Aker, Peder L. Aker, Peter P. Aker, Jens M. Berdahl, Mrs. Kristi Berge, Ole Berge, Solomon Driveness, Halvor H. Dybvig, Mrs. Karen Eggen, Gotskalk Myre, Reinert Ness, Isaac Olson, Markus Olson, Tom Questad, Andreas Trygstad, Peter P. Valland, Halvor Vik, Jacob Wastun, Orm Waswick, and Sivert O. Wold. Its pastors were Rev. G. O. Wigdahl from 1906 to 1919 and Rev. O. Steensland from 1919 to 1928. The church and cemetery stood on land given by Halvor and Rachel Dybvig, who broke sod here in 1890 as among the hardy, God-fearing pioneers who settled this community.
