The Heine Weber Smokehouse was removed from the Weber homestead in the historic Weaverland Valley, where the house and barn were built in the early 1760s and the smokehouse appears to date from the same period. In the summer of 1980, its roof was removed, its stone walls were dismantled, and its materials were moved and reconstructed on this site with the same stones and in the same size and design as the original structure, with the roof replaced again. The bakeoven immediately south of the smokehouse was also built from materials taken from the Weber homestead, including stones, timbers, and the tile roof from the Heine Weber House. These structures were preserved here in memory of the Weber and Weaver families, descendants of Johann Anton Weber, who settled in the Pequea Valley in 1711, and of his sons Henry, Jacob, and George, who moved to what is now known as the Weaverland Valley.
