Hamilton Farm Petroglyphs is an archaeological site on U.S. Route 119 southeast of Ringgold in northern West Virginia where early Native Americans carved ancient images into sandstone. In 1961, investigators cataloged 25 designs within an 18-foot-square section of stone at an elevation of 1,460 feet, including bear tracks, deer tracks, human footprints, a spiral or snail form, human figures with raised arms, and a figure identified as a Spirit Otter. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, the site remains an important surviving example of prehistoric rock art in West Virginia and a strong link to the region's Native American past.
