The tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks upon the United States of America on September 11, 2001 was honored with an artifact from the World Trade Center in New York City, displayed in tribute to the victims and to the heroes who rushed to their aid and made the ultimate sacrifice for their fellow Americans. Recovered from the World Trade Center after September 11, 2001 and provided courtesy of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, it was displayed in memory of the 2,752 victims, including 343 New York City firefighters, 37 Port Authority police officers, and 23 New York City police officers.
