Palos Covered Bridge is a historic covered road bridge near Glouster in southeastern Ohio. Spanning the east fork of Sunday Creek in a single multiple kingpost truss, it stood about a mile north of town off State Route 13. The bridge was closely connected to the region’s coal-mining past through its service to the W. P. Rice Mine, which operated from 1913 to 1925. That association ties the structure to the industrial life that shaped this part of Athens County in the early 20th century. Its historical importance received formal recognition in 1977 through listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
