The Au Sable River International Canoe Marathon is North America's richest and longest nonstop canoe race and the middle jewel of North America's Triple Crown of Canoe Racing. Men and women of all ages paddle 120 miles nonstop through the night to compete for cash and prizes. Over 50,000 spectators line the river on the last weekend in July, and volunteers make the marathon happen.
