Winchester Lake State Park is a 418-acre public recreation area on the southern edge of Winchester, Idaho, at the base of the Craig Mountains. Surrounding the 104-acre Winchester Lake, also called Lapwai Lake, it is centered on a wildlife-rich lakeside setting. Its waters support rainbow trout, perch, bass, and bluegill, while the surrounding habitat is home to white-tailed deer, Canada geese, muskrats, bald eagles, Columbian ground squirrels, and raccoons. As part of Idaho’s state park system, it serves as a lakeside destination for outdoor recreation.
