Jeff Gordon, though born in California, was raised in Pittsboro, Indiana, and became closely associated with Indiana through a racing career that included four Sprint Cup championships in 1995, 1997, 1998, and 2001. His 93 career wins rank third all-time. He retired from racing in 2015 and went into broadcasting. He also founded the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer research.
