Liliʻuokalani Botanical Garden is a seven-acre public garden on North Kuakini Street in Honolulu, part of the Honolulu Botanical Gardens system. The land was given to the City and County of Honolulu by Queen Liliʻuokalani, Hawaiʻi’s last reigning monarch. Though a relatively young garden, it is being developed with a singular purpose: to feature only native Hawaiian plants. Nuʻuanu Stream and Waikahalulu waterfall run through the site, giving this urban park a notably natural character. Its royal connection, water features, and exclusive focus on native flora make it a distinctive element of Honolulu’s public garden network.
