The Malvern Veterans Memorial honors men and women of the Malvern area who have served their country in the past, who are serving now, and who will serve in the future. It was inspired by a large wooden wall that stood near this location during World War II, where almost 500 names were hand-printed on a wall of honor. Although that earlier wall no longer exists, the names are preserved here along with those of veterans from conflicts ranging from the Revolutionary War, Indian Wars, War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, and Spanish American War through World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Lebanon and Grenada conflicts, Panama Conflict, the wars on terrorism, and peacetime service.
