Range Ponds State Park in Poland, Maine, is a summer-focused public recreation area on Lower Range Pond that combines a sandy swimming beach with kayaking, limited motorized boating, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking through mature pine and hardwood forest. Created in 1965 after the state acquired more than 500 acres from Hiram Ricker and Sons, it occupies a broad shoreline tied to the three connected Range Ponds, whose waters flow north by Range Brook to the Little Androscoggin River. Lower Range Pond, the smallest but longest of the three, supports a popular warmwater fishery and helps give the park a varied landscape beyond its beach.
