Paradise School is a small historic schoolhouse at Paradise Avenue and Prospect Street in Middletown, Rhode Island, preserved today as a museum on farmland once held by the Whitman family, who gave the site to the town. Built in 1875, the modest wood-frame building has a single classroom and reflects 19th-century school design with separate entrances and vestibules for boys and girls. Its features include decorative sawn brackets, a front-gable oculus window, and small shingled shed roofs over the doors and side windows. After classes ended in 1955, it served as an administration office before restoration and recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
