The Railroad and Transportation Museum of El Paso in El Paso, Texas, is housed in the Union Plaza Transit Terminal south of the Civic Center beside the historic 1857 locomotive No. 1 of the El Paso and Southwestern. Its exhibits examine how transportation shaped regional business and industry. Beyond exhibitions, it has pursued educational goals through a library, a study center, and an oral history collection. Its efforts have been supported by local and rail-history organizations, including the Southwest Chapter of the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society, the Railroad Model and Historical Association of El Paso, and the Paso Del Norte Streetcar Preservation Society.
