Built in the early 20th century, the Storage Shed exemplified rural American building practices. Constructed by the Davidson family sometime in the early 20th century as a garage and workshop, it was built for strength and function rather than good looks. Chickens may also have lived there, and the Davidson family recalled calling the structure the "Chicken Coop."
