Barrington Hall, a Greek Revival plantation house built in 1842 in Roswell, Georgia, was the home of Barrington King, whose family played a central role in founding the town and developing it as a mill community. The house remained in the King family for more than 150 years, passing through descendants who helped preserve it, especially Evelyn and Katharine Simpson. After a careful restoration that revived original furnishings and architectural details, the property was sold to the City of Roswell in 2005 for permanent protection and public use. Today it operates as a historic house museum with original family possessions, seven acres, and a rare antebellum public garden.
