Fairfax honors and remembers all men and women who served God, country, and community in times of war and peace, especially those killed in action: William Burke in World War I, Raymond Pike in World War I, William E. Tupa in World War II, Milton C. Krueger in World War II, and Lawrence H. Delany in Korea. The memorial was dedicated on June 19, 2010. Associated documents include a partial listing of Fairfax area veterans, a partial listing of financial contributors to the memorial, a partial listing of those who worked on it, and a note that the document display box was donated by Clark and Judy Gies and family in honor of Jacob Gries Sr. of World War I and Jacob J. Gies Jr. of World War II.
