Lonoke County dedicated this honor roll on Nov. 12, 1988, to all county veterans and especially to those who died during wartime, naming the county’s dead from World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Viet-Nam War, and Desert Storm, and affirming the sacrifice expressed in John 15:13: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
