Black Dome is a mountain in Arizona and the second-highest point at the western end of the Tank Mountains. In the northwestern Sonoran Desert of northeastern Yuma County, it stands about 57 miles east-northeast of Yuma in a remote landscape of protected mountains and open basins. The western two-thirds of the Tank Mountains, including Black Dome, lie within Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, which is managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The range extends east to west beside the Kofa Mountains to the northwest, situating Black Dome within an isolated stretch of desert terrain.
