In memory of deceased veterans of all wars from the Jeannette area, the dedication honored them for God and country and marked the fiftieth anniversary of the American Legion from March 15, 1919 to March 15, 1969, by Jeannette Post No. 344 with Glenn Storey as Post Commander, Ted Rucolas as Post Adjutant, and the Community Service Committee including Charles E. Walter and Stanley Mokowski.
