Citizens of Elkhart County dedicated this memorial to perpetuate the memory of local men and women who sacrificed their lives for God and country and to honor those who served in the armed forces, listing the county’s dead from World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Persian Gulf, with sponsorship by Mothers of World War II Unit No. 77.
