History
1
A boulder originally stood below this building near the edge of Uvas Creek and was removed by helicopter in 1987 to protect it from erosion and vandalism, then moved to Mt. Madonna County Park. After it was vandalized further there, it was moved to Villa Mira Monte, the Morgan Hill House, for safekeeping. It was returned to Chitactac in December 1999. The boulder bears petroglyphs, including circles within circles like a water ripple, and these markings are believed to be thousands of years old.
