Kelly Canyon is an alpine ski area in eastern Idaho within Targhee National Forest, northeast of Idaho Falls. Opened in 1957 by E. Bud Johnson, it spans the boundary of Jefferson and Madison counties. The mountain rises to 6,600 feet above sea level and features a 1,000-foot vertical drop over 640 acres of north-facing slopes. Its lift system includes four double chairlifts and a rope tow serving beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain. With about 200 inches of annual snowfall, supplemented by snowmaking, it operates daily and also offers Nordic skiing and marked snowshoe trails beyond the alpine runs.
