The Rastin Observation Tower is a historic chimney, the highest structure in Knox County, and since its completion it has served as a landmark for residents and air traffic. After the PPG plant shuttered in 1976, the chimney ended its useful life and was repurposed for the enjoyment of area residents. Architectural services were a gift of Shremshock Architects, with fabrication by Custom Cutters and erection by United Aggregates.
