Blue Earth County History Center in Mankato, Minnesota, preserves and shares the history of Blue Earth County as a museum, library, archives, and research center operated by the Blue Earth County Historical Society. Founded in 1901, the society developed from operating the R.D. Hubbard House as a museum into a broader institution that also placed historical markers, supported recognition of important sites, and moved in 1988 to its present home on Warren Street. The center houses exhibits, interactive displays for children, the Marian Anderson Art Gallery, and research resources for historians, genealogists, and local families, while also offering community programs and safeguarding the county’s historical record.
