Conservation Garden Park in West Jordan, Utah, was developed by the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District as a public demonstration site for waterwise landscaping and conservation education. Emerging from statewide efforts to use existing water supplies more efficiently, it began as a two-acre garden in 2001 and expanded over time with additional exhibits and an Education Center completed in 2011. The park responds to Utah’s dry climate, rapid growth, and heavy landscape water use by promoting efficient irrigation, waterwise plant selection, and lower outdoor water demand. Open free to the public, it serves as both a botanical garden and a practical model for adapting landscapes to local conditions.
