James Herbert Cameron was the lone survivor of a lynching and dedicated his life to promoting civil rights, racial unity, and equality. He was an author, founded several chapters of the NAACP, and also founded America's Black Holocaust Museum in Milwaukee. He said, "I accept the apology and I forgive them, but I can never forget."
