A piece of steel from one of the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center in New York City survives from the terrorist attack that destroyed the towers on September 11, 2001. The attack took lives in New York, Pennsylvania, and at The Pentagon, and many first responders, including East Haven Fire and Police Departments, came from across the country to assist the FDNY and NYPD at Ground Zero in the aftermath of the attack on the United States of America.
