Where Were The Fields?
History
2
Anasazi and Sinagua people modified small terraces to grow hand-tended corn, cotton, beans, and squash in a climate that was about what it is now and very dry for farming. The terraces caught vital run-off from rain. Nearby rock circles appear to be ruins of individual, separate rooms; these are common, but their use is unknown.
