White Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a 1,040-acre refuge in North Dakota, located in a very remote area entirely on public land. It is one of the smaller units in the National Wildlife Refuge System and is managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service from offices at Audubon National Wildlife Refuge. Its importance comes from its protected status and its role within the federal refuge network in a sparsely settled part of the state.
