Coyote Gulch is a major tributary of the Escalante River in southern Utah, extending more than 25 miles through Garfield and Kane counties. Known as one of the signature canyons of the Escalante country, it features sheer walls, slot sections, domes, arches, natural bridges, sandy streambeds, and a notably green canyon floor. Its branches, including Dry Fork and Hurricane Wash, have cut sandstone as much as 900 feet deep. Landmarks include Jacob Hamblin Arch, Coyote Natural Bridge, Cliff Arch, and Stevens Arch. The canyon is also known for narrow side gulches, waterfalls and cascades, and dramatic access routes such as Crack-in-the-Wall.
