Mount Bigelow is an 8,449-foot summit in Washington’s North Cascades on the border of Okanogan and Chelan counties, at the southernmost point of the Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Part of Sawtooth Ridge in the Methow Mountains, it rises steeply above Upper Eagle Lake and stands at a divide where waters flow toward the Twisp River, Lake Chelan, and the Methow River. Officially named in 1971, it honors early Lake Chelan homesteader Frank E. Bigelow, who also worked on Forest Service trails. The mountain and its rugged surroundings reflect the tectonic uplift, faulting, and repeated glaciation that shaped the North Cascades.
