The Wyoming was a six-mast coastal schooner built here in 1909, the largest wooden vessel built in the United States. She could carry 6,000 long tons of coal and was the largest of seven six-masted schooners, along with many other vessels, built in this shipyard. On December 15, 1909, the Wyoming was ready to launch.
