Silver Run Falls is a small waterfall near Cashiers in western North Carolina within the Nantahala National Forest. Reached by a mostly flat out-and-back trail of about 0.4 mile from the parking area, it is known as an easy natural stop in a forest setting. The main falls are generally described as about 25 feet high, although one catalog extract gives the height as 20 feet. Popular with both locals and visitors, the area is also noted for a second, lesser-known waterfall above Silver Run, accessible by climbing beside the main falls and continuing until the upper cascade can be heard nearby.
