Nature
Virginia Robinson Gardens is a six-acre historic estate in Beverly Hills, California, regarded as the city’s earliest estate and long the home of Virginia Dryden Robinson and Harry Winchester Robinson. Its Beaux Arts mansion, designed in 1911 by Nathaniel Dryden, remains furnished as a private residence with antiques and artifacts from around the world. A Renaissance Revival pool pavilion added in 1924 complements gardens laid out in five distinct areas, ranging from Italian Renaissance and formal perennial plantings to heirloom roses, kitchen plots, and a tropical palm garden said to hold the continent’s largest grove of king palms. The estate has been widely recognized for its historic significance.
