THE STORY

Hanover Lutheran Church was the first German Lutheran church in America, organized by Daniel Falckner about 1700. From 1742 to 1761, Henry Melchior Muhlenberg served as pastor. The present building, one-quarter mile northeast, was erected in 1767.
