The Town Hall and School Building, dedicated on December 31, 1879, was built in 1879 as a new town hall and school building at a construction cost of $3,945.00, with trustees E.H. Reed, O.D. Pomeroy, and Wm. Richard and builder Robert W. Henry. In Rev. O.W. White's dedication poem, the building stood on a firm foundation, stately yet plain in style, devoted to good and great uses, reflecting owners in the surrounding townships who held legal share, spent their money well, and welcomed it as the town's ornament, crown, and a beacon light. It was rededicated on December 31, 2008, during the mayoralty of Thomas P. Perciak.
