Bullskin Creek Site, near Felicity in southwestern Ohio above the Ohio River, was an intensively used Late Archaic base camp for nomadic groups dating to about 2750 to 1750 BC. Spread across three loci, it yielded hundreds of artifacts, including stone, bone, and weapon tools, along with ovens, trash pits, postmolds, and a large midden that show sustained domestic activity and built structures. The site is part of the Central Ohio Valley Archaic and is notable for distinctive flint knives and a cache interpreted as possible ritual equipment. Burials in a nearby cemetery were generally flexed and adorned with red ochre, though plowing disturbed parts of the site.
