The walkway is dedicated to all veterans, past, present, and future, who are members of the Seeley B. Parish American Legion in Phelps, New York, honoring those who contributed in the past, those standing the current watch, and those who will stay the course in the future. It was dedicated on Memorial Day, May 30, 2010.
