Vintage Aero Flying Museum at Platte Valley Airpark in Colorado is an aviation museum founded in 1984 by James Parks as a historical and educational non-profit. Formerly the LaFayette Escadrille Flying Museum, it is closely tied to the legacy of the Lafayette Escadrille, a connection continued by Andy Parks through preserving the history of the unit’s pilots. Designed to evoke a rural French World War I airfield, the museum features artifacts, original uniforms, memorabilia, and aircraft in a secured hangar. Its collection, centered especially on World War I aviation, has been regarded as unmatched in scale and includes both period aircraft and later planes.
