East Oriental Covered Bridge, also called the Sheaffer Covered Bridge, is a historic wooden covered bridge over Mahantango Creek linking Perry Township near Meiserville in Snyder County with Susquehanna Township near Oriental in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. Built as a ninety-foot Burr Truss structure, it no longer carries vehicle traffic but remains as a preserved historic crossing. Its survival reflects the region’s transportation heritage, and its significance was formally recognized when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
