From 1812 to 1855, the home site of Andrew Moak Sr. stood in the oldest settlement in Lincoln County, Mississippi. Born March 1, 1782, in South Carolina, Andrew Moak Sr. was a pioneer, and the community and Moak's Creek were named for him. His two wives were Catherine Dominey, born July 15, 1784, in South Carolina and died July 18, 1821, and Susannah Dominey, born Nov. 18, 1790, in South Carolina and died Jan. 16, 1841.
