The Clay Center Municipal Band Shell was constructed in 1934 with PWA funds, with H.L. Stevens serving as city engineer and Wesley J. Morse as designer. It was dedicated on May 30, 1934, refurbished in 1996 by Craftmaster of Wichita, Kansas, with funds provided by the City of Clay Center and individual donations, and rededicated on September 28, 1996.
