Malibu Potteries was located on the beach about a half mile beyond the pier and used clay from the ranch. Mrs. Rindge, trying to supplement her income following a disastrous legal battle, was looking for oil on her property but found rich clay deposits instead. Malibu tile can be found in many locations throughout the United States. It will remain on permanent display at the Adamson House for future generations to enjoy.
