North Fairfield, Ohio, was the site of the Fairfield Plow and Ironworks Chair Factory in 1850, a foundry in 1873, the first township settlement in 1816, the establishment of the village in 1847, and incorporation in 1939. A rock from the Arthur Burras Farm honors the memory of Arthur L. and Bessie K. Burras and was given by Morris and Yvonne (Burras) Surrarrer.
