Grosvenor Arch is a sandstone double arch in Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument in southern Utah, in northern Kane County south of Kodachrome Basin State Park. Reached by the unpaved Cottonwood Canyon Road through a remote desert setting, it stands out from the Colorado Plateau’s many single-span natural arches because of its unusual double form. The arch was named for Gilbert Hovey Grosvenor, who lived from 1875 to 1966 and was president of the National Geographic Society. Though isolated, the site is equipped for easy visitation, with a handicap-accessible concrete sidewalk, cement benches, and an outhouse restroom, making it both a geological landmark and a convenient roadside stop.
