Beaver Meadows Visitor Center reflects the legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the world's most creative architects. After Wright's death, the firm he founded, Taliesin Architects, designed the building. Architect Thomas Casey, who designed the visitor center, was apprenticed to Wright and incorporated many of Wright's design principles into its creation. Today, the building is a National Historic Landmark in recognition of its unique contribution to architecture in the National Park Service. Its design principles include blending with the natural setting, departing from traditional box architecture, and choosing materials for their weathering effects over time.
