Rachel L. Wright was born on May 18, 1972, and died on February 15, 2022. She spent most of her professional career working for the City of Yorkville, where she held several positions and was especially valued for supporting community members and co-workers who became friends. In the summer of 2020, she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, and her 16 years of loyal service came to an end. A loving friend to many, she made a lasting impact through her positive view of everyone, the love she gave to those she knew, and the pride she took in making things and people feel beautiful. Her family wished her memory to continue through messages that gave her strength: “Always be humble and kind. Remember every day may not be good but there is good in every day.”
